An Introduction to Design Patterns

As an prelude to the upcoming Design Patterns Special Interest Group (SIG), this session
will introduce Design Patterns, discuss what they are and where they came from, and give
examples of some simple patterns.
The latter part of the meeting will be used to begin the organization of the
Design Patterns SIG. SIG leaders and members interested in attending will have an open
forum to discuss the format of these meetings.
